I am wondering if there was an error or mistake when the fbx conversion was made. I am unsure why the fbx is 50fps - this looks like a mistake to me. ![]() But you might want to see if you can get that FBX re timed elsewhere and imported back in - unless AE can do it for you.ĥ0i is 25fps ( 2 ‘fields’ per frame making one whole frame ). If you are happy with your 25 fps - then leave it be if the quality stands up to what you want after de-interlation. I know in typical software packages it can be done, such as C4D. Regarding the FBX - I am not an AE user but I imagine the FBX can be re timed down to match the frame rate. This is good because 24/25/30 fps are more usual. So it looks like AE is taking care of deinterlacing for you automatically and giving you 25fps. It’s a bit old fashioned mate so I image your camera is an old one or maybe you have chosen ‘interlace mode’ mode from settings? Is there not a ‘progressive’ mode?Ī technique known as ‘de-interlacing’ blends these ‘fields’ together and brings it back to one frame. You often see interlace artifacts on old video footage when there is fast motion - it looks like the horizontal lines have fallen out of sync for a few moments. Something along the lines of an upper field and a lower field. The ‘i’ usually stands for ‘interlace’ and relates to film shot on video.
